About The UCI Computerstore

The UCI Computerstore is owned and operated by the University of California, Irvine . We are a department of the UCI Bookstore , which is a department of Student Affairs .

The UCI Computerstore has been serving the UCI community since 1983.

We are authorized reseller for Apple , Dell, and Sony computers. We also sell a wide variety of peripherals from HP , Epson , Dell , Canon, Apple , and many others. We have an orderable inventory of over 400,000 products. We are an authorized service provider for Apple and Dell and service a wide variety of computers and peripherals from many PC companies. Our Mission

Our mission is to serve the students, faculty, and staff of the University of California, Irvine and the academic community. It is to make a difference within that community. It is to provide honest advice on technology without regard to profit or personal benefit.

Our History

The UCI Computerstore was founded by a student and former Bookstore Director Jim Harrod in the fall of 1983 under the name Computrends. Michael Smith became its first and only manager in 1984 and led the UCI Computerstore since that period. Mason Kington is our current Interim Manager. Since its founding, the UCI Computerstore has grown from a staff of one student to 4 career employees and a student staff of over 2 dozen UCI students working in sales, marketing, computer repair, programming, design, and marketing.

Directions to the UCI Computerstore

We are located on the 2nd level of the UCI Student Center, inside the Bookstore. 405 Freeway From the North:

EXIT at Jamboree Rd.
RIGHT on Jamboree Rd.
PASS Michaelson
LEFT on Campus Dr., (pull into far left hand turn lane)
PASS University Drive (2nd light after turn onto Campus)
RIGHT at next light on West Peltason into UCI
Immediately, get into far left hand turn lane.
LEFT at 1st light, (Perrira).
IMMEDIATELY get into first left hand turn lane, and turn LEFT into the STUDENT CENTER PARKING STRUCTURE. The attendant will direct you to the UCI Computerstore, which is across the street from the parking structure on the 2nd level of the Student Center, inside the UCI Bookstore.

LEFT at next light on West Peltason into UCI
Immediately, get into far left hand turn lane.

IMMEDIATELY get into first left hand turn lane, and turn LEFT into the STUDENT CENTER PARKING STRUCTURE. The attendant will direct you to the UCI Computerstore, which is across the street from the parking structure on the 2nd level of the Student Center, inside the UCI Bookstore.

The Student Center is partially under construction; however, just walk east towards the Administration Bldg from the Student Center Parking Structure, and we are on the right hand side of the street, before you get to Admin, inside the UCI Bookstore on the upper level.
